PEABODY: Colleen M. (Donovan) Ryan, died Friday, January 6, 2017. She was the wife of the late Leo E. Ryan of Peabody and loving daughter of the late Helen M. Donovan of Rockport and James A. Donovan of Cambridge.
Mrs. Ryan was born in San Diego, CA and received her education in Massachusetts. She retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and was previously employed as a dental technician, but continued her education focusing on gerontology. She was also a notary public for many years.
She leaves her cousins, Andrew O’Connor and his wife, Mary of Bedfordshire, England, William Donovan and his wife, Nancy of Santa Cruz, CA and Sandra Priest of Harrington, ME; her lifelong friend Gwen Brotzman of Alexandria, VA and her kind and wonderful friend and companion, William Shay of Beverly and many dear and cherished friends and acquaintances.
