Thomas A. "Hogie" Hoglund, 66, of New Bedford died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Sandra A. (Marshall) Hoglund.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late John Hoglund and Patricia (Towner) Rogers, he lived in New Bedford for all of his life.
He was employed as a chair car driver for Alert Ambulance Company until his retirement.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, playing cards and taking trips to Atlantic City. He also coached softball for the Tri-Town men's league and Fall River co-ed league.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Hoglund, Jr. and Jason Hoglund; four brothers, Joseph, Kevin, Randall and Robbie Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Hoglund, Jr.
