Amanda C. Doherty of Cobleskill, NY, 25, passed away on Sunday January 1st in Provincetown.
Born in Provincetown, she was daughter of Cynthia (Meads) and David Doherty. She moved with her family and was a graduate of Bellingham High School. After graduation, she moved back to Provincetown to be with her family. She worked as a waitress and bartender. In 2016, she moved to Cobleskill, NY with her fiancé Steven Caminiti before the birth of their daughter, Ayla.
At an early age, Amanda competed in beauty pageants and enjoyed modeling. She was passionate about cosmetology and making people happy. She loved being out in the sun, laughing, dancing, music, the beach and Cape Cod Bay. Her favorite places and times were spent with family and friends.
In addition to mother Cynthia, father David, fiancé Steven, and daughter Ayla, grandmother Louise Meads, brother Joel Carreiro and his wife Serena, brother Che Carreiro, sister Audra Mayfield and her husband Matthew, sister Amy Houghton and her husband Jack survive her. She also leaves nieces Ariel Carreiro, Brooke Carreiro, Ella Mayfield, Joceyln Pelletier, great-niece Arianna Allmon, and nephews Dylan Carreiro-Hensel, Nathaniel Czyoski,and Ethan Mayfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Amanda's family on Friday, January 6th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7th, at Saint Peter the Apostle Church, Prince Street, Provincetown. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
