Jose F. DeBona, 51, of Derry, NH died Sunday, August 21, 2005 after a sudden illness. He was born in Urussanga, Brazil on July 9, 1954, a son of Adeniz and Maria (Zelia) DeBona. Raised in Urussanga, he came to the United States in 1987 and settled in Manchester, NH. Following his marriage to the former Nancy T. Viggiano in 1990, they relocated to Derry. Mr. DeBona was employed by the Hunt Community in Nashua, NH as supervisor of maintenance. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who also loved soccer, NASCAR and the Red Sox. He cherished his special relationship with his grandson.
IN HIS LIFE:: He is survived by his wife Nancy (Viggiano) DeBona of Derry, two step daughters, Karen Belanger of Manchester and Amy Binda and her husband Kevin of Auburn, NH, his grandson, Jeremy Ronald Binda of Auburn, his mother, Maria DeBona of Urussanga, Brazil, a sister, Arlei deSousa of Urussanga, Brazil, two brothers, Lueiz Carlos DeBona and Adeniz Joelco DeBona, both of Urussanga, three nieces and a nephew.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held Thursday, August 25th from 6 to 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service was held at 7 PM during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
