DUDLEY – Clairette A. (Martel) Ricard, 88, died Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 44 years, Gerard H. “Joe” Ricard, died in 1994.
She leaves 2 daughters, Claire L. Verdone and her husband Thomas, with whom she lived, and Christine A. Kokernak and her husband Gary, all of Dudley; a son, Gerard R. “Gerry” Ricard, Jr., also of Dudley; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great great-grandson; 4 brothers, Normand, Andre and Francois Martel, all of Grandmere, Quebec, and Jacques Martel of Montreal, Quebec; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Giles Martel, and by a sister, Bibianne Bourgouin, both in 2009.
She was born and raised in Grandmere, Quebec, a daughter of Achille and Louise (Boivert) Martel. She had lived in the Webster-Dudley area since 1950.
Mrs. Ricard was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. She enjoyed going camping in the summer with her husband and spending time with her family.

The funeral will be held Saturday, January 14, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Visitation will be from 8:45 to 9:30 AM Saturday, January 14, in the funeral home.
