In Taunton, Lorna Marie (Castro) Kelleher, Age 55, passed away at home while surrounded by her loving family. Lorna was born on August 8, 1961, the daughter of James and Eleanor (Zanellato) Castro of East Taunton. Lorna was a 1979 graduate of Taunton High School, attended two years at Massasoit Community College and graduated from Southeastern Regional Technical School as a medical assistant. She moved to Connecticut with her family 30 years ago. Lorna worked as a medical assistant for the past 23 years. She was an active member of the Wallingford, CT Elks for 20 years. Lorna’s passion was caring for others. As a result of her generous spirit and congenial personality, she was loved by many. She touched so many people and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Lorna was beautiful person inside and out. She will be sadly missed by all, but her memory will never leave us. Lorna is survived by her beloved children Mathew McCusker and his wife Ashley and Patrick McCusker all of CT, her step children Kim and Shane Kelleher, Johnny McCusker, her sisters Karen Steininger of Taunton and Judy Webb and her husband Stewart of East Taunton, her granddaughters Tabitha, Erin, Violet and Victoria McCusker, her fiancée Michael Cooney, her nephews Michael and Jacob Steininger, her niece Alicia Webb as well as many other family and friends, especially her best friend Darlene Sanford. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, January 9th at 8:30 am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
