Thomas “Mike” Lloyd age 65 of East Bridgewater died Saturday December 31, 2016 at Mass General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Paula J. (Patricelli) Lloyd for 42 years. Mike was born in Jamaica Plain and raised in Brockton a son of the late Francis and Eleanor (Norton) Lloyd. For the past 26 years he had resided in East Bridgewater.
Mike was the co-owner with his son Michael, of United Sealcoat of East Bridgewater. Previously he was a self- employed painting contractor.
In his free time, Mike enjoyed camping and watching Patriots games with his grandson Cullen. Mike will be remembered as a loving, loyal and generous man who was always there to help anyone in need. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his best dog friend Betsy.
In addition to his wife Paula, Mike is survived by his two children Michael A. Lloyd and his wife Katie and Deanna L. Holmes and her husband Billy. He leaves his two grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Cullen M. Holmes and Mia A. Holmes and two godchildren Ryan Leuchte of Walpole and Jade Allyn Cox of Braintree. He was the brother of Carol Leuchte and Patrick Lloyd both of Weymouth, Janice Puopolo of Brockton and Brian Lloyd of Plymouth. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 5-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
