Roscoe W. Wilbur, 78, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday January 2, 2017 in his home. He was born in Nashua, NH on June 27, 1938, a son of the late Roscoe and Mildred (Wead) Wilbur. He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past two years, formerly living in Derry, NH. Roscoe was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. He had been employed for Western Electric for over 14 years, and was very well known in the Derry area, working as a locksmith, an electrician and a machinist. Roscoe was also a Justice of the Peace in NH. He enjoyed doing projects, and was an avid animal lover.
He is survived by his wife Joyce (Sennett) Wilbur of Londonderry; nine children, Brenda Plummer of Derry, Susan Kimball of Manchester, NH, Roscoe "Billy" Wilbur of Stonewood, WV, Debbie Collyns-Voltero of Salem, NH, James Wilbur of Hudson, NH, Jonathan Wilbur of Derry, Joseph Wilbur of Derry, Timothy Wilbur of Hudson, and Todd Wilbur of Derry; his step son, Brian Sennett of Vackerville, CA; his step daughter, Christine Lemire of Henniker, NH; 26 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his ex-wife, Joyce Jennings Wilbur; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 6th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 7th at 9:00am in the funeral home. The burial will be in his family lot in Hudson in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Caregivers of Greater Derry, 1-B Commons Drive, Unit #10 Londonderry, NH 03053.
