Obituary

Oleta Taylor, 79, of Tifton passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Brantley Seymour officiating. Ms. Taylor will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ms. Taylor’s great-nephews, Russ Wood, T. J. Luke, Tyler Luke, Waylon Flancher, Brian Rowland and Brady Rowland will serve as pallbearers.

Born December 9, 1937 in Nashville, Ms. Taylor was the daughter of the late Lester Elbert Taylor and Ruby Lee Fender Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Reed; and a sister, Loretta Taylor. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to sing, pick up pecans, do word puzzles and play Bingo. She had resided at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton for the past 16 years.

Ms. Taylor is survived by two sons, Terry Frazier and Eddie Frazier, both of Florida; one daughter, Libby Devanney of Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sylvia Taylor of Arcadia, Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fay and Charles Harrison of Arcadia, Florida and Betty and Jack Flancher of Tifton; her nieces and nephews, Bill Taylor, Mike Taylor, Tonya Taylor, Charlie Harrison, Phillip Harrison, Kathy Luke, Brian Flancher, Pam Wood and Charles Gogie Flancher; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
