Charles "Drayden" Hester, 47, of Tifton passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Pruitt Health Ashburn. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Christopher House officiating. Mr. Hester will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Charlie Hill, Courtney Noland, Casey Williamson, Cal Williamson, Jerry Hill and Maxwell Hill will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 18, 1969, in Tift County, Mr. Hester was the son of the late Milton Vinson Hester, Sr. and Norma Leona Hill Hester. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Turner Hester, who died in infancy; his maternal grandparents, Charlie Maxwell Hill and Barbara Hill; and his paternal grandparents, Robert V. Hester and Ella Hester. He was a hairdresser and a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton. He was a graduate of Tift County High School and received his Cosmetology certificate from Moultrie Technical School in Moultrie.
Mr. Hester is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
