Obituary

84 of Swampscott, formerly of Chelsea. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Hyman David Cligstein. She died on December 30, 2016 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington surrounded by her family. Born in Chelsea she was the daughter of the late Morris and Etta Goldstein. She was a graduate of Chelsea High School and continued her education at Mary Brooks College.

She worked as a legal and medical secretary. Debra was a life member of the Hadassah's, Peabody and a member of Congregation Sons of Israel of Peabody. She was a long time resident of Swampscott. She enjoyed knitting and loved being around family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Marci Casaletto & her husband Joseph of Middleton, her granddaughter Marisa Zelfond & her husband Philip of Wakefield. Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea Monday at 12PM. Interment in Beth Israel Cemetery, Everett. Memorial observance to be held at the Crown Club @ Crown Pointe 400 Paradise Rd. Swampscott following burial till 7PM. Shiva to be held at her late residence Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 4-8PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hadassah Peabody Chapter 2 Donna Rd. Peabody, MA 01960.
