Maria Lina Goncalves Resende (36) of Brockton died December 30th in her home under hospice care and surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Pedro Gomes Resende.
She was born in Mosterios, Fogo, Cabo Verde daughter of Joao and Maria Goncalves of Fogo, Cabo Verde. Maria was a nurses aid for Hope Hospice. She enjoyed listening to Cape Verdean music and cooking.
In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by 2 sons, Jesuino (Alex) and Paulo Goncalves Resende both of Brockton, 1 daughter Maria Fatima Resende of Brockton, 2 brothers, Niculao and Avilino both of Cabo Verde, 4 sisters, Avelina and Joana of Brockton and Nha Nha and Gorda both of Cabo Verde.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday January 7th 2017 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church 10 am . Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Friday January 6th 2017 from 5-9 pm.
