Jennette, Effie “Nell” (Hinton), 93, went home to her Lord on December 29, 2016 in Louisville.
She was born to Clarence and Temer (McPherson) Hinton on June 8, 1923 in Beech Creek, KY.
Nell was a faithful member of First Nazarene Church, worked for 25 years at the American Tobacco Company, and retired from Chase Bank in 1988.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Jennette.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jo Nell Smith (Leon), and James L. Jennette (Verna); six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Huey Hinton (Jessie); and a sister, Gladys Hampton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00AM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Tuesday 4:00-8:00PM.
