Mrs. Lucille (Boucher) Burgess, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 29 at her residence. She was born 90 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Donat and Yvonne (Poirier) Boucher. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Lucille had been employed as a press operator for Foster Metals in Taunton and Attleboro for over 40 years. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 4 sons: Gerard Burgess and his wife, Carolyn of Wareham, Edward Burgess of New Hampshire, Raymond “Rolly” Burgess of Taunton, and Joseph Burgess and his wife, Renee of Taunton; 1 daughter: Cecile Dusseault of East Taunton; 7 grandchildren: Tina Berry, Brian John Burgess, Douglas Dusseault, Edward Burgess, Melissa Burgess, Katie Anne Burgess, and Brittany Nelson; 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was also the grandmother of the late Christopher Edward Burgess and Alan Burgess.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
