Mary R. Marciano, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away December 29, 2016 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 80 years of age. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Marciano, Jr. Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vincenza (DiPonio) Tortolano.
Mary was a 1954 graduate of Woburn High School. She worked for over 25 years as an office manager and clerk for the Servomation Vending Company of Stoneham. Prior to that she also worked for many years at Jim and Rose’s Restaurant and Catering. Mary enjoyed being around people and socializing. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, taking trips to the casino and regularly attending bingo. She was a talented cook and enjoyed sharing her delicious culinary creations with friends and family. For many years, Mary looked forward to spending the summer months in Salisbury at the Rusnik Campground where she made many wonderful friendships over the years. However her greatest joy was her family. She cherished spending time with them and especially adored her grandchildren whom she was so proud of.
Mary is survived by her devoted children, Michael A. Marciano III and his wife Cheryl, Linda Marciano - McNeil and her husband Stephen, all of Woburn. She was the loving grandmother of Michael A. Marciano IV, Gina, Stephen and Matthew McNeil, Corey Dillon and his wife Jaime, Sean Dillon and his wife Robyn, all of Woburn. Loving great grandmother of Jayden, Jordyn, Madison, Colin and Nathan. Sister of the late Pasquale Tortolano. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN Thursday, January 5th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
