On December 25, 2016 William R. Morgan, better known as Bill, joined his family and friends in Heaven. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Beverly McCoy-Morgan of Raynham, MA. He was born in Rome, NY. , the son of the late Anson & Dorothy (Mahoney) Morgan. Also survived by his son, Matthew Morgan and his wife Tammy and
Grandchildren Cassidy and Emily Morgan of Blossvale, NY. He also leaves his siblings, Del Ann Thomas of East Anolee, GA and David Morgan of Rome, NY. As well as, a niece and several nephews, including the late David Morgan. Bill has resided in Raynham since 2008 with his wife Beverly. He was educated and graduated from St. Aloysius Academy, Rome, NY. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1967. Bill dedicated 63 years to Scout Leadership. As a young scout Bill completed his path with Eagle Scout and continued to be involved by promoting leadership with the Order of the Arrow. Currently Bill was a Mentor Leader with Boy Scout Troop #43 and Cub Scout Pack #11 of St. Ann’s, Raynham, MA. Bill also enjoyed his membership with Rome Elk’s Lodge #96 and was PER of Lodge #96. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus council 10289 of St. Ann’s in Raynham, MA. Bill’s wonderful ability of storytelling and jokes will forever be remembered to those near and dear to him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10 am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
