Worcester - Yvonnie L. (Weber) Allen, 76, of Worcester, was escorted by angels to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 28th. An independent and strong lady, she stayed with us for her favorite of all seasons, Christmas.
Her husband of 49 years, Ronald F. Allen, passed away in 2009. She leaves her daughter, Kim Y. Willand and her husband Richard of Leicester; a sister, Penny Bliss and her husband Dave of West Branch, MI; a brother, Jack Weber and his wife Juanita of Grawn, MI; five grandchildren, Derrick, Ross and his wife Jess, Kyle and his wife Julie, Nicole, and Brett; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Thaxton and Shirley Gamache.
She was born in Traverse City, MI, the daughter of John and Mildred (Taylor) Weber and lived here for many years. At one time, Yvonnie worked at the former White House Restaurant and more recently worked at Crown Bakery, where she enjoyed her customers and coworkers and looked forward to seeing the many friends she made there. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Yvonnie's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staffs of VNA Care Network and Hospice and the Rose Monahan Hospice Home for the compassionate care they provided during her illness. "May choirs of angels receive you and may you have rest and peace everlasting."
Relatives and friends may visit Saturday, December 31st from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
