George L. Butts, Jr., 25, of Blackstone died December 24.
Born in Milford, June 26, 1991, the son of George L. Butts of Woonsocket and Kimberly A. (Trites) Butts of Blackstone, he had lived in Franklin and Medway before moving to Blackstone.
George was a 2009 graduate of Medway High School.
George had been an iron worker at Les Enterprises, Pricision, Inc. and was presently working as a plumber’s assistant for Learned Plumbing company.
George loved music and especially enjoyed playing his guitar. He also was an avid sports fan of the Boston sports teams.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sisters, Katelyn Butts of Blackstone and Emily Goodwin of Blackstone. He is also the grandson of Paul Trites of Rotunda, Florida and Stephen Page of Ft. Myers, Florida.
He was the nephew of Alice and Jeff DeRosa of Medway and his cousins, Giulia, Riley and Matthew DeRosa of Medway.
George also is survived by his girlfriend, Mary Richards of Blackstone.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, in St. Joseph Church, Medway at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
