Corrie Pauline Gardiner Jones, age 78, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born March 1, 1938 in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Willie Clinton and Zelma Arlene Wolfe Gardiner. After 30 years of service, Corrie retired as a line worker with Borg-Warner in Water Valley. She was a member of Ford’s Well Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, gardening, watching the birds and deer in her yard and taking care of her horse.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. James Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Fords Well Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS.
Corrie is survived by her daughter, Linda Jones Claus of Fairfield, CA; her son, William Clinton Jones of Water Valley; her sister, Modena (Carl) Rounsaville of Southaven, MS; and her grandson, Andrew Duchnowski and his wife, Miri of Kittery, ME.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Monroe Gardiner.
