Charles “Charlie” M. Wilson III, of Franklin died December 26 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Dianne (DeLosa) Wilson for the past 50 years.
Born in Cambridge, June 19,1944, the son of the late Charles M. Wilson, Jr and Willa (Kenney) Wilson, Charlie was raised in Waltham and had lived in Norfolk for several years prior to moving to Franklin over 20 years ago.
He was a 1963 graduate of Waltham High School.
He had been a plumber, first with union local 448 in Framingham and then with union local 12 in Boston.
Charlie was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and loved politics.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Leah Murray and her husband Christopher of Franklin and Nadine Wilson of Westwood.
He is also survived by his sister Judith Wilson of Waltham and his grandchildren, Kevin, Brianna and Jason Murray of Franklin.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Charles River Center, 59 East Militia Heights Drive, Needham, MA 02492 or the charity of one’s choice.
