Jacqueline Lee (Deeds) Day-Koons, 86, of Alexandria, died December 23, 2016 at Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
She was born, December 21, 1930, in Carlisle, Indiana.
She was an interior designer with J. C. Penney for 30 years.
She enjoyed traveling, square dancing, family gatherings and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, John D. Koons of Chesterfield, her son, Lance (Dawn) Lower of Middletown and her daughter, Linda (Bil) Carter of Speedway; her step-son, Mark Koons of Chesterfield, 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Randy Skaggs, granddaughter, Erin Williams, two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Bryden Tracy; two stepsons, David and Greg Koons.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark of Chesterfield Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 until the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
