Paul A. Serra passed away at his Zephyrhills, FL home on September 16 at the age of 69. He was born on July 22, 1947 in Boston, MA. He is the son of the late Anthony Serra and Frances Ricci Serra. He is survived by Diane Morrison, his significant other of almost seventeen years, his loyal companion Lucky, his three children, Karen, Marc, and Anthony, his sisters Tina Hockman and Linda Malin. Paul is also survived by his four grandchildren, Matthew, Tammy, Taylor and Cameron.
Paul’s passion was in working with his hands. He had a long career in the sheet metal fabrication industry where he went on to establish his own business and held on to until he retired and moved to Florida. He had a natural ability to analyze and repair almost any mechanical problem, whether it was with a car or a home, he would always find a way to fix it and enjoyed utilizing that ability to help others. Paul was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed tuning in to catch the game of his favorite Boston sports teams. He was also an avid fisherman throughout his life and could usually be found at one of his favorite spots along the Cape Cod Canal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton. Following the visitation relatives and friends are respectfully invited to participate in a Remembrance Ceremony.
