Patricia Arlyne (Irving) Ferretti 92, of Marlborough died peacefully on December 24, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Dante Ferretti. Born in Melrose, MA March 10,1924, she was the daughter of John James Irving and Gladys Arlyne (Lord) Irving. She was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1942, and after high school worked as a receptionist for American Mutual Insurance Company of Boston. Throughout her school and working years she was enrolled in dance lessons and pursued a life-long love of dancing. While she worked for American Mutual she joined their theater group and performed in their war-time production of "Let's Be Friendly" where she met her future husband. After their marriage in 1947 the couple lived in Medford and Lexington, and then moved to Easton where the family lived for 29 years. After Mr. Ferretti's death she moved to Bridgewater and then Marlborough. Mrs. Ferretti was retired from her secretarial job at Central Glass of Brockton. Since 1959 she was an active community volunteer at the Goddard/Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She was a devout member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bridgewater. In her retirement years she enjoyed her hobbies of knitting, reading, and visiting family and many friends in Massachusetts and Florida. She will always be remembered by all for being loving and thoughtful; a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and a beautiful, gracious hostess. Her home was always filled with music, flowers, family, friends, and love.
She is survived by one son, Warren Andrew Ferretti of Sagamore Beach, MA; and three daughters, Judith Arlyne Kandzer (Ronald) of Winter Springs, Fl.; Janice Mary Krueger (Karen) of Natick, MA.; and Kim Patricia Keith (John) of Sandwich, MA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Scott Steven Kandzer (Tanya) of Anchorage, AK; Alison Patricia Ticknor (Christopher) of Los Alamos, NM; Nicolas John Keith of Sandwich, MA; and twins Aaron Dante Krueger and Benjamin Paul Krueger of Natick, MA. She is also survived by her precious great-granddaughter Nora Violet Ticknor. She was the loving aunt of David Ferretti and nieces Martha Mathias and Virginia Capone. She was blessed to have the love of two goddaughters, Nancy Vileniskis and Linda Drube, and friends Jon and Denese Dale.
A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 39 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 on Wednesday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the church and internment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in her memory be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Natick.
