WORCESTER-Olga (Tzouros) Yovanis, 88, of 76 Townsend Street, died Friday, August 19th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 16 years, Vasilios Yovanis predceased her. She leaves a niece; Spiridulla Gesko of Thebes, Greece, a niece; Alkis Tzouros of Greece, a nephew; Christos Tzouros of Greece, and her close friend of 19 years; Hrisoula Bezas of Worcester. 3 brothers; Thimitri, Vangeli and Pavlo Tzouros, and 2 sisters; Sophia Dimos and Margarita predeceased her.
She was born in Bolerati, Albania the daughter of Haralambos and Kaliopi (Mastakas) Tzouros, and came to this country in 1940. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The funeral is Wednesday, August 24th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
