Mark E. Flanders, 66 of Manchester, NH died on Sunday December 25, 2016 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester. Mark was born in Manchester on November 5, 1950 a son of Rita R. (Boisvert) Flanders and the late Alfred E. Flanders. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry Class of 1969. Mark served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era as a mechanic. He had resided in Manchester for the past seven years, formerly living in Londonderry, NH most of his life. Mark was employed as a truck driver and a carpenter.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Flanders, and his daughter, Kimberly Laforge both of Tennesee; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Rita R. Flanders of Okatie, SC; three brothers, Alan Flanders of Bluffton, SC, David Flanders of Weare, NH, and James Flanders of Pelham, NH; three sisters, Ann Mary Dinsmore of Weare, NH, Julia A. Flanders of Bluffton, SC, and Lisa Flanders of Lyman, ME; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Monday, May 15th from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 16th at 10:30am in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1 South Rd., Londonderry. Private burial was in the NH State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
