Gertrude May Cornell, 75, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday at Marion Manor Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Irving Delmar Cornell. Born in Westport, daughter of the late John and Rachel (Lake) Wilson. Survivors include her sons, James E. Cornell, David M. Vieira, David A. Cornell, Bruce W. Vieira, Richard E. Cornell, Michael I. Cornell and Wayne S. Cornell; daughters, Joyce Belanger, Carol Burham, Robin R. Hagan, Susan M. Cornell and Doreen L. DeMoranville; sisters, Esther Pacheco and Marion Menard; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Irving D. Cornell and Daniel A. Cornell; and sister of the late Richard E. Lake. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00AM from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, where her funeral service will begin at 10:00am. Interment Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.
