TIVERTON… Helen (Golen) Wilusz, 86, of Tiverton passed away December 22, 2016 at St. Anne’s Hospital, Fall River.
She was the loving wife of Stanley J. Wilusz to whom she was married for 63 years.
Born in Camden, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Mordzien) Golen. She had been a resident of Tiverton since 1966.
In her younger working years, Helen was employed at Lamport Co. of Fall River and while with her husband in the Army, she had held a position at Ft. Knox, KY. After settling down in the 60’s, she was for a time, an inspector at Sylvania Corp. in Fall River. She was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veteran’s Auxiliary.
Mrs. Wilusz was a 1948 Graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and attended almost every reunion held at Rachael’s Lakeside in Dartmouth. She was a communicant of Blessed Trinity Church, Fall River. She was the Past President, Secretary and Treasurer of the North Tiverton Senior Citizen’s Club (North Tiverton Fire Barn) and enjoyed knitting, dancing, playing cards, and trips to Foxwoods.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Kathryn H. Wilusz of Ireland, her son, Thomas Wilusz of Fall River, 3 grandchildren: Alicia A. McGuire and her husband Robert Fisher of Westport, Chad R. Wilusz and his wife Olivia (Hartranft) of Waltham & Michael W. Brennan of Ireland, her sister, Jennie Marciszyn of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Carol Wilusz Ney and sister of the late John, Stanley, Joseph and James Golen.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 10 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Blessed Trinity Church, 1340 Plymouth Ave. Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM Memorial donations in her memory can be made to Blessed Trinity Church.
