Teruko Smith of Water Valley, MS died at her home in Yalobusha county on December 25, 2016. She was born in Japan on February 21, 1932 and later married Delmer Smith and moved to Water Valley where she lived most of her adult life. She was a homemaker.
A visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2 until 2:45 on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Graveside services will follow at Oakland City Cemetery at 3 pm with Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Teruko was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Smith.
She is survived by four sister-in-laws, Ilene Dees of Enid, MS, Christine Brown of Wallbridge, OH, Pearl Boyles of Water Valley, MS, and Mary Bunch of Oakland, MS; two brother-in-laws, Lester "Red" Smith and James "Bud" Smith, both of Water Valley, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
