Connie C. Blanchard
Augusta, GA - Connie Cook Blanchard of Augusta, GA, age 69, died December 25, 2016 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Russell Edwin Blanchard, Jr. and her children Connie Lee Blanchard, Augusta, Russell Edwin Blanchard III, Augusta, and Laurie Blanchard Vera and her husband Phillip Sheldon Vera, Jr. of Augusta, and two grandchildren Catherine Elizabeth Blanchard and Russell Edwin Blanchard IV; brother in law Warren Talmadge Blanchard of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Raymond Cook and a child.
Mrs. Blanchard graduated from The Academy of Richmond County. She received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Georgia College, and a Master of Education and Educational Specialist degrees from Augusta University. She taught music and kindergarten in public and private schools in Augusta for 31 years. She served as organist of The Hill Baptist Church for 42 years.
A funeral service of song and scripture will be held on Wednesday, December 28 at 11am at The Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
