Obituary

Roger W. Tremblay, 78, of Woonsocket died Monday December 19, 2016 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Felix and Rosalie (Verette) Tremblay. Mr. Tremblay resided in the village of Mohegan in Burrillville for many years before returning to Woonsocket several years ago.
In his earlier years Roger worked at the Whittins machine shop in Whitinsville. He was later employed at Zambarano Hospital for 30 years before retiring.
Roger was an adept woodcarver and enjoyed the outdoors by spending time fishing. A friendly and outgoing man roger will be remembered as a loving father and proud and devoted grandfather.
He is survived by three sons Roger Tremblay of East Greenwich, David and William “Bill” Tremblay both of Woonsocket. He is also survived by three granddaughters Jillian, Jennifer and Michaela Tremblay. He was predeceased by most of his siblings.
Visiting hours for Roger will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm, with a service at 7:00 pm, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
