“BJ” Evans, 76, of Wilson Road, Londonderry, NH died Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Branford, CT on May 21, 1925, a daughter of the late Harold and Bess (West) Cassidy. She was a graduate of Branford High School in Branford, CT and the Mass General Nursing School in Boston, MA. She was a resident of Londonderry, NH since 1969, formerly living in Gilford, NH for a few years and Wilmington, MA.
She is survived by her husband, John R. Evans Sr., Londonderry, NH, two sons John R. Evans Jr., Manchester, NH, Charlie Evans, Londonderry, NH, five daughters, Wendy Evans, Oregon, Jane Faries, Tennessee, Sandra Haber, Oregon, Suzanne Nuthmann, Londonderry, NH, Carol Evans, Maryland, 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two sisters, Joyce Rank, Connecticut, Marion Poulton, Oregon, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday November 17, 2001 at 11:00am at Central Congregational Church, Crescent Street, Derry. Private burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Audubon Society of New Hampshire, 3 Silk Farm Road, Concord, NH 03301-8200. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry, is handling the arrangements.
