RICCIARDI, Richard G. affectionately known by his family and friends as “Greco”, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on December 23, 2016. He was 70 years old. He was the beloved husband of Rena F. (Piccinni) Ricciardi. Born in Winthrop, but grew up in Beachmont, Revere, he was the son of the late Dominic C.F. and Jennie (Ricciardi) Ricciardi. Devoted stepfather of Jesse Deveau and his wife Brianna of East Boston and Joshua Deveau and his wife Sueheitie of Brockton. Adored grandfather of Jesse Marie, Juliana, Gianna, Sophia and William. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Thurs, Dec. 29, from 4-8pm. Richard had a passion for race horses which he owned for many years, which ran at the Suffolk Downs Race Track. He graduated Wentworth College in Boston with his Bachelors, and worked for the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation as a Civil Engineer. He was also a licensed real estate broker.
