Obituary

Robert E. Kelley 78, of Medway, died peacefully, Thursday November 10, 2016 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Helen M. (O'Connell) Kelley.

Born March 8, 1938, in Framingham, a son of Melrose T. and Mary B. (Kelley) Carrington, he was a former resident of Cambridge and Boston, before moving to Medway many years ago.

He was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Boston English High School. He continued his education at Boston University Metropolitan College and studied Russian History. Following school Robert worked at the world-renowned Folk Music center, The Unicorn Coffee House, in Boston. Robert worked as an advertising photographer for the Marshall's Corporation for many years and did medical photography at B.U Medical center until retiring. Following his retirement he was the manager for Walpole Self Storage.

While photography was his passion, he also enjoyed baseball, softball, music, gardening and woodworking. He also was a camper & counselor at the Morgan Memorial Fresh Air Camps at the Hayden Inn Village in Athol MA.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, he leaves many nieces, nephews, in laws, and extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Tuesday Nov. 15th, at 7PM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin.

His interment will be held at a later date.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-7PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Family and friends will be invited to a light supper following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or GoFundMe in Roberts name.
