Mrs. Eugenia Burgamy Colclough, 92, entered into rest Thursday, December 22, 2016, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley B. Colclough, Jr. Mrs. Colclough was born in Davisboro, Georgia, but made her home in Augusta. She was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church where she also taught pre-school for many years. Mrs. Colclough bore many names daughter, sister, wife, mom and to many she was affectionately known as “Mema”. She was devoted to her family, dedicated to her faith, and a pillar of strength, dignity and grace. Loved by all, the impact of her life will forever be etched in our hearts.
Additional survivors include two sons, Wesley B. Colclough, III, and his wife Carol, of Thomson, Carlton Burgamy Colclough, of Augusta; three daughters, Cathryn Colclough Burke, and her husband Pete, of Lincolnton, Carlene Colclough Pilgrim, of Thomson, Roxane Colclough Keeney, and her husband Burt, of Lexington, SC; ten grandchildren, Wes Colclough, Niki Cooper, Casey Colclough, Tye Colclough, Ricky Crowe, Leigh Hughes, Chrissy Scott, Bethany Mitchell, David Pilgrim, Jr, and Abigail Keeney, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity. We would also like to recognize Carol Tweedle of Trinity Hospice who showed sincere care for mom during her illness.
For friends of the family, a drop-in honoring her memory will be held at the Colclough Barn 201 Meadowood Drive, Thomson, GA between 2:00 to 4:00pm, Monday, December 26, 2016, after a private service.
