Mary I. (Cameron) Kinchla 91, of Medway, died peacefully, Monday November 14, 2016 at the Medway Country Manor, following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Kinchla.
Born May 19, 1925 in Malden, a daughter of the late James T. and Eleanor M. (McGrath) Cameron, she was a longtime resident of Yarmouth, before moving to Medway several years ago.
She was raised in the Charles River Village of Needham, and was a graduate of Needham High School. Mary worked as an aide for Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and as a companion aid to many others, until her retirement.
She loved to sing and traveled to Europe, where she sang in some of the most beautiful churches. Mary was a self proclaimed "Kennedy Family Historian" and could tell you every family member and fact that you wanted to know. She also loved all animals, especially her dogs. Her adventures with friends and family on Cape Cod were legendary.
Mary is survived by 3 brothers, William G. Cameron of Orlando, FL, John P. Cameron of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and Frederick Cameron of Anderson, ID, and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
She was the sister of the late Margaret Kinney, Eleanor Fitzgerald, Isabel Cunningham, Joseph, David and Francis Cameron.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Saturday Nov. 19th at 3PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St.
Her interment will be held privately.
Calling hours are Sat. from 1-3PM prior to the service.
