Mary I. "Issy" (Rohan) Banville 87, of Milford, died peacefully, Thursday December 15, 2016 at the Whitcomb House in Milford, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Creedon, who died in 2009 and the late Henry P. "Hank" Banville, who died in 1981.
Born December 1, 1929 in Norwood, a daughter of the late William M. and Isabelle (MacDonald) Rohan, she was a former resident of Dedham before moving to Franklin, where she resided for many years and retired with her late husband to Harwich.
She was raised and educated in Dedham, and was a member of the Dedham High School Class of 1947. Mary was a writer of government contracts for the John Hancock Insurance Company, and retired after 37 years.
"Issy" was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed bowling, and once bowled a perfect game at Ficco's in Franklin. She also enjoyed traveling especially to Ireland and reading.
She is survived by a sister-in-law Susan C. Rohan of Franklin, a nephew, Thomas M. Rohan, Jr. and his wife Nicole, 3 nieces, Heather L. Rohan and her companion Mary Beth Veneziano, Megan A. Rohan, Kristine Parrulli, and a great niece Emma Rohan.
She was the sister of the late Thomas M. Rohan, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Monday Dec. 19th at 11AM in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Square, Franklin. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
