Obituary

Rosemarie "Rose" (Vignone) D'Ascenzo 78, of Franklin, died peacefully, with her family at her side, Monday December 19, 2016 following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ovidio D'Ascenzo, who died in 1997.

Born in Milford, March 22, 1938 a daughter of the late John and Anna (Darezzo) Vignone, she was a lifelong Franklin resident.

She was raised and educated in Franklin and worked as a supervisor for 20 years at the Wrentham State School. Rose was also a longtime school bus driver for the town of Franklin.

She enjoyed swimming, going to the beach, gardening, watching the Patriots, listening to music, playing golf and cooking. Rose also assisted at the Kennedy-Donovan Center in Milford.

Rose is survived by her children, John O. D'Ascenzo of Milford, Maria E. D'Ascenzo of Milford and Ann C. Deptula of Franklin, 3 granddaughters, Diana Holske of Franklin, Alisha Deptula of Franklin, Katie Deptula of Franklin, and 2 great grandsons, Jayden Holske & Troy Hadley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday Dec. 23rd, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Thurs. from 4-8PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Special Olympics Massachusetts 512 Forest St. Marlborough, MA 01752.
