Obituary

CHICOPEE – Yvette M. (Rondeau) Gosselin, 96, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at West Springfield surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Trois Rivieres, Province of Quebec, Canada on August 15, 1920, a beloved daughter of the late William and Delima (Genereux) Rondeau. She moved to Holyoke in 1962 and lived there for many years before moving to Chicopee in 1994. She was employed for many years as a nurse aide at the Beaven Kelly Home in Holyoke. Most of all, she was a wonderful woman who cherished her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a communicant of the former Precious Blood Church in Holyoke. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jean J. Gosselin who was Called Home on November 25, 1975. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her loving son, Yves Gosselin and her twenty one dear brothers and sisters. She leaves her four loving sons, Jean Gosselin and his wife, Gabrielle, of Orlando, FL, Robert Gosselin and his wife, Carol Jean, of Cape Coral, FL, Alfred Gosselin and his wife, Cindy, and Michael Gosselin and his wife, Lori, all of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren; her six cherished great-grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Rondeau and Gosselin families. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, December 30, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Precious Blood Cemetery, 65 Willimansett Street, South Hadley. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
