Fatima (Borges) Reis, age 61, of Fall River, passed away on unexpectedly Thursday December 22, 2016. Born in Santo Antonio, Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Arruda) Borges and wife of John Reis. Fatima enjoyed baking, knitting, loved helping others in any way that she could, always put others before herself and caring for her family especially her grandsons.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters; Karen Barbosa (husband Sergio) and Nancy Cordeiro (husband Kevin), siblings; Leonor Medeiros, Paul, Antonio, Carlos, José, and John Borges, grandsons Jaxton and Landon Barbosa, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
