WORCESTER- Anna Bertha Lund, 95, died Sunday, December 18 at the Beaumont Nursing Center.
She leaves her nieces, nephews, and their spouses: Dave and Peg Norquist, John and Marge Norquist, Marcia Stone Green and Ron Green, Charlotte Stone, Eleanor Nordborg Sullivan, and Grayce Nordborg-Gilman. Five siblings, Robert Lund, Kenneth Lund, Carla Norquist, Alice Nordborg, Elsie Stone, as well as four nephews/ nieces, Robert Norquist, Kenneth Stone, Paul Nordborg, and Jane Nordborg Perkins predeceased her. Bertha, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Karlsson) Lund, was born in Worcester.
Bertha retired from Anna Maria College after working there for nine years; prior to that she was a technical illustrator at Crompton and Knowles for over 25 years. She was a lifelong member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church. In her later years, Bertha was active at the Auburn Senior Citizens' Center.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Christopher Heights of Worcester Assisted Living, Beaumont Rehab & Nursing Center and Salmon Hospice for their care and loving kindness towards Bertha.
A Visiting Period will be held Tuesday, December 27 from 9:30am to 10:00am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00am in LINDQUIST LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street. Burial will be at the All Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
