Joseph “Scotty” Arno, age 45, of South Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield and Hyde Park, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
Born in Norwood, MA on February 19, 1971, he was a loving son of Priscilla A. (O’Connell) Arno of Wareham and the late Joseph A. Arno.
Scott grew up in Hyde Park, was educated in Hyde Park schools and was a 1989 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School.
For over twenty years, Scotty had worked as a truck driver for the Hyde Park Masonry Concrete Company. He had made his home in South Attleboro for the past nine years and formerly lived in Mansfield.
Scotty was an avid fisherman of all types and a former member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved spending time with family and friends and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially dogs.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted brother David J. Arno and his companion Anne Gordon of Wareham. He was the dear longtime companion of Lisa Haun and her children Dylan and Emily Haun of South Attleboro. He is also survived by his aunt, uncles and many cousins and friends.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will begin on Wednesday, December 28th at 9:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 27th from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
