Obituary

Maurice Lepine, 88, of Clinton St., died Sunday December 18, 2016. He was the husband of the late Rita (Laplante) Lepine. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Emile and Rose (Pincince) Lepine. He had lived in Blackstone for nineteen years before moving back to Woonsocket. Mr. Lepine worked as a backwasher for many years at the former Argonne Worsted Co., as a press operator for Allied Co. in Dedham, MA and as a custodian for the Woonsocket School Department for seven years before retiring in 1991. He was a communicant of All Saints Church and the former St. Ann’s Church. He was an active member in St. Joseph Sr. Citizens and Precious Blood Sr. Citizens.

Maurice is survived by four sons, Emile Lepine of North Smithfield, Michel and Roland Lepine both of Woonsocket, and Richard Lepine of Cumberland; two daughters, Suzanne Paulhus of Uxbridge, and Lorraine Boudreau of Blackstone; three sisters, Therese Menard of Medfield, Constance Bilodeau of Scituate, and Lucille Aubin of Woonsocket; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Robert and Raymond Lepine.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Oakland Grove Resident Council, 560 Cumberland Hill Rd.
