FALL RIVER – Humberto Eleuterio Rodrigues, age 89 of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016. Born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, and grew up in São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose João Rodrigues and the late Ema (Natividade) Rodrigues and was the beloved husband of the late Maria Manuela (Pereira) Rodrigues.
Prior to retiring, Humberto worked 35 years as a Tailor for Anderson Little Co, was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, and a member of Ateneu Luso Americano. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, and the Benfica & Real Madrid Soccer teams.
Survivors include his children: Gabriella Rosner (husband Timothy) of Mansfield, MA, Steven Rodrigues of Fall River, and Catherine Rodrigues of N. Dighton; his grandson: Connor P. Rodrigues of Fall River; sister-in-laws: Gilberta Pacheco of Dartmouth and Amanda Oliveira of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Albertina Pereira, Albert Rodrigues, & Jose João Rodrigues Jr.
Besides being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Humberto was full of life, loved to laugh, and on many occasions was known to be the life of the party.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday with a visitation from 8-10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. www.rogersfuneral.com.
