Patsy Jan Sanders Berger, 76, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Berger will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, December 26, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Dustin Sanders, Darin Sanders, Gary Kincaid, Eric Griffin, Levi Dill and Chance Howell will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class at Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
Born March 19, 1940 in Nashville, Mrs. Berger was the daughter of the late Russell Thomas and Julia Barfield Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Leo Berger, Jr. She was retired, but had worked at Dixie Oil Company, the Georgia Agrirama as an interpreter and Berger’s Audio in Tifton. She was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Joyful Sound Choir. She enjoyed playing the piano at nursing homes.
Mrs. Berger is survived by the joys of her life, her two sons and daughter-in-law, Clay Sanders of Tifton and Curt and Melissa Sanders of Demorest; her two grandsons, Dustin Sanders and Darin Sanders and his wife, Brooke Sanders.
