GEORGETOWN, MA - Mr. Alan William Farrell, age 66, a Vietnam Era Veteran, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, after a long period of declining health.
He was born in Everett in March 1950, a son of the late Edgar H. and the late Florence (Ross) Farrell, and upon the death of his mother, raised by his father and step mother, the late Patricia (McMakin) Farrell.
He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force, and served during the Vietnam War Era.
Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Georgetown. He worked at several occupations during his healthy years, mostly in landscaping construction and maintenance.
He leaves his siblings, Phyllis Thompson of TX, Paul Farrell of Georgetown, Edith McGrath of NJ, John Ditter of Everett, Pauline Sulprizio of Saugus, Deborah Farrell of Saugus, Maureen DiSario of Tewksbury; numerous nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Ditter.
