Gloria D. Hatem, 94, of Salisbury, Mass., passed away on Sunday, December 18th, 2016 at the Maplewood Center in Amesbury.
She was born in Lawrence on May 26, 1922, daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Tahan) Arbour. Gloria graduated from Saint Mary's High School and became the proprietor of the Ames Salon in Lawrence, working as a hairdresser and beautician for many years. Later Gloria became a Real Estate Agent and proprietor of Hatem & Hatem Realty. She also operated an antique business with her daughter.
She is survived by her son Greg Hatem of Salisbury, MA.
As well as several nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Hatem and her sister Evelyn (Arbour) Coco.
Her son, Greg, would like to thank the staff at Maplewood Center in Amesbury for their compassionate care of Gloria.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29th, 2016 at 10:00 in Saint Anthony's Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in Saint Anthony's Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
