Thomas W. Sheehy, 63, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday December 18, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrence, MA on August 4, 1953, a son of Frances (Sullivan) Sheehy and the late John Sheehy. Mr. Sheehy had been a resident of Londonderry for over 35 years, formerly living in Bradford, MA and Lawrence. He was a graduate of the St. Lawrence O'Toole Grammar School in Lawrence, a 1972 graduate of Lawrence High School, and a graduate of Northern Essex Community College with an associate's degree in accounting. Mr. Sheehy had been employed as an accountant for Lucent Technologies in N. Andover, MA for over 20 years. Mr. Sheehy enjoyed playing cards, pool, reading, "playing" in the yard, and New England sports teams. He also enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter.
In addition to his mother of Lawrence, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Esther (Nutton) Sheehy of Londonderry; two daughters, Julie Traynor and her husband Steve, and Laura Paquin and her husband Daniel, all of Manchester, NH; his granddaughter, Abigail Traynor; two brothers, John D. "Jack" Sheehy of Methuen, MA, and James F. Sheehy of Lawrence; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, December 21st from 3 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will be in Pillsbury Cemetery in Londonderry in the Spring.
