Frances Anne (Rountree) Crowninshield passed away at her home after a long illness on December 16, 2016 at the age 81 years old.
Born in Fall River she was the daughter of late John Walter and Isabella Margaret (O’Donnell) Rountree. She attended Taunton Public Schools and graduated from the Union School of Nursing in Fall River as a Registered Nurse. She attended St. Paul’s Church. She was a longtime resident of Taunton and for over 30 years worked in various hospitals included Bridgeport, Taunton State and Fuller Memorial. She enjoyed traveling with her family in their motor home and she was a dedicated Patriots fan.
A patient and loving wife for 54 years of John A Crowninshield. Fran was the wise and caring mother of John M Crowninshield, Margaret F Chaves, Deborah L Aldabeh, Cynthia A Westgate, David B Crowninshield and his wife Debora Galloway, James D Crowninshield and his wife Linda Crowninshield. She was the genuine and dedicated grandmother of Jonathan, Jessica and David Crowninshield; Jennifer, Kathleen and Richard Chaves; Brian and Sarah Aldabeh; Tara and Alexis Westgate; Kimberly Gabrielle and Meghan Sheldon. She was the great grandmother of Kayla, Kaylee, Giuliana and William. She was the sister of John Rountree of Falls Church Virginia and the late Dorothea Winters of Taunton. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday December 21st at 11:30 AM. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Flowers or donations in Frances’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
