Mary Lois Arrington Cruce, 74, of Tifton passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Regency Hospital in Macon. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Tift Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley and the Rev. Kevin Dawson officiating. Mrs. Cruce will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Monday, December 19, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Cruce will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Cruce's nephews, Nathan Spradley Jr., Steve Spradley, Kenny Barge, Ricky Mathis, Chad Mathis and Brad Mathis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Cruce's great-nephews.
Born December 19, 1941 in Tift County, Mrs. Cruce was the daughter of the late Leon Arrington and Mamie Belflower Arrington. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George D. Smith; her second husband, Marion Cruce; two brothers; and a sister. She was retired from Walmart as a greeter and a member of Tift Avenue Church of God.
Mrs. Cruce is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and the Rev N. C. Spradley of Tifton, Joann and John Barge of Cuthbert and Christine Hutchinson of Cartersville; and numerous nieces and nephews, who she adored.
