CENTER HARBOR - Carl Tarte, 56 of 86 Piper Hill Rd died suddenly Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center, MA.
He was born on February 13, 1960 in Laconia, the son of the late Harold and Marguerite Tarte. He worked all his life as a master carpenter, caretaker for many customers in the Lakes Region, and was a jack of all trades. Carl enjoyed the outdoors and sharing it with his family, especially fishing and camping. Many will remember Carl for his well told stories and his kindness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sally (Downs) of 33 years, son Brian of Gilmanton, Daughter Amy and Fiancé Eric Hoffman of Woodbridge VA, mother-in-law Miriam Downs, brother Paul of Laconia, sisters Maxine Violette of Belmont, Donna Robert of Weathersfield VT, Martha Tuttle of Concord, and Lois Pinard of Laconia. In addition to his parents, he was pre-diseased by his siblings Billy, Tim, Jim, Peggy, and Kathy.
There will be no calling hours.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at his home which he built on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 2pm-6pm.
A private burial will be held in the spring.
